The Grootslang is said to be a huge serpent that dwells in a cave known as the "Wonder Hole" or the "Bottomless Pit" located in the Richtersveld.  According to local legend, the cave is filled with diamonds.

As usual, this boss has access to chain crushing attacks that end your score multiplier on hit.  Chain crushing and other mechanics will be 
covered at a later date.
